Want to know what's happening in Europe?
You will find lots of information about science in other countries, that can be read in English, on the European Union website CORDIS
Got a Science Question?
A recent 'straw poll' of people actively involved in encouraging everyone to become more aware of science and technology came up with the following list of really great sites for anyone (young or old, pupils, teachers and even 'experts') wanting to know the answer to questions about science. So, if you want to know more, cut and paste the addresses below into your web browser and have fun!
How Stuff Works is a mixture of technology and general science info
Mad Scientist Network - but of course, scientists aren't really mad!
Ask a Scientist - an archive full of already-answered questions
About.com is a forum where you can ask questions. You'll find the science section in 'Homework help' - but it's great for teachers too!
ScienceLine - this is 'Science Net', the online version of the telephone science question answering service, which is available on 0808 800 4000, Mon-Sat, 1-7pm
Ask Einstein click on 'Ask Einstein', search the FAQs or submit your own question
Scientific American - 'Ask an Expert' section
When you're all 'searched-out', why not get out and about and visit some of the many exciting science, engineering, technology and maths events and venues happening in Scotland or further afield? To find out what's happening, either click on the Events button (left) to search the Science Year in Scotland database of events and activities, or on the links (right) to just some of the many organisations making things happen.
And finally, here are links to some more sites for young people:
