Traveling abroad, especially when one gets ESTA US Visas, can be fun and exciting
One gets to experience a different culture, a different environment or just plain rest and recreation for a much – needed vacation. However, the vacation experience can be dampened if one is visited by an illness and forces the tourist to hit the bed and rest. Fortunately, there are simple habits that one can practice so getting sick is held at bay.
1. Prior to the trip, one can visit a physician and take the necessary shots. A lot of doctors would recommend getting vaccinated when traveling to a country with a humid or tropical climate.
2. One of the most important things to consider while traveling is to make healthy food choices. When it comes to street food, one may not be certain if its preparation undergoes sanitary procedures.
3. One should never forget to exercise. When traveling long distances, blood may not circulate properly after a long flight, you wouldn’t want to get stuck in a wheelchair after getting an ESTA visa application approved, would you?
4. Always be ready with the essentials such as tissue paper or hand sanitizer and a first-aid kit.
5. Pack vitamins, supplements or medications one is taking. They can boost one’s resistance especially if one takes on too many activities while on holiday.
6. Drinking lots of water can eliminate dehydration and reduce the feeling of disorientation and jet lag, which is common when crossing several time zones.
7. Another way to fight off dehydration is to limit or avoid alcohol intake. Drinking alcohol can increase the likelihood of air sickness.
8. After the excitement of getting an ESTA US Visa and finally exploring a destination, one should not forget to take naps. They rejuvenate the body even if it’s only for a few minutes.
9. It may be safer to swim in seas rather than in fresh bodies of water. The skin may be irritated in water that may be stagnant or bears bacteria or other irritants.
10. Keep bug repellents or bed netting handy, to avoid diseases borne by mosquitoes.
